Immersion in Scotland
I recently returned from Spectra Light Festival in Aberdeen. I had scored the soundtrack for Andrew Brooks’ Immersion film of Icelandic landscapes. The festival was very well attended and I felt proud (if not a little bit guilty because of the cold!) that people were queuing to watch the work in its entirety. I was pleased to meet some of the other artists at the festival in particular Ulf Mark Pedersen and Kathy Hinde (www.kathyhinde.co.uk), whose work you should definitely check out for its inventiveness and magic.
Iceland Immersion…
I have recently finishing working on the soundtrack to Andrew Brooks’ ‘Immersion’ film for Spectra Festival in Aberdeen – http://spectraaberdeen.com – I will be attending the festival (19th-22nd February) and look forward to seeing all the other exhibits there over the weekend.
Spectra Festival Of Light In Aberdeen
This is photographer Andrew Brooks preparing a new film for the Spectra Festival of Light in Aberdeen next month (February, 19th-22nd). This film has been created for a 320° screen, the same that was used in last year’s Manchester Festival of Light’s ‘Immersion’ exhibit. I am sure that Andrew will take full advantage of shooting the film in Iceland during the winter. This season in particular yields some impressive and awe-inspiring views of the natural world. I will look forward to starting the soundtrack for this film soon and will keep you updated.
Immersion in the Enlighten Festival in Manchester
I have just finished scoring a short film for the Enlighten Light Festival in Manchester 11th-14th December. The website for the festival is http://www.enlightenmanchester.co.uk – where you can see a video of the set-up of Andrew Brooks’ ‘Immersion’ which is designed to be shown on a 320º screen. Visitors will be invited to get a sense of the city from some of its highest towers and roof tops. It will surely be a unique experience alongside a host of other memorable exhibitions.
