FB Live sesh for LMM tomorrow @ 3PM!

LMM

Very much looking forward to interacting with students of London Music Masters tomorrow in a Facebook live session about notation.  They commissioned the Three After-Dinner pieces for Peter Moore  a couple of years ago (available up on the left in my music player if you want to listen).  Here’s the link https://www.facebook.com/londonmusicmasters and I’ll be live at 3pm.  You need pens, paper,  a fruit or vegetable, and your imagination.  Earlier sessions at 11am with Beth Higham-Edwards and 1pm with Tom Coult and Sarah Hill should be great to tune into as well.  And it doesn’t stop there, as Preetha Narayanan is following me at 5pm.  See you there!

Video of Three After-Dinner Pieces

Here’s a link to a recording of my piece for trombone and piano (played by the fantastic Peter Moore and Richard Uttley respectively), just click on the image above .  I’ve also put a link to the recording on this page so you can listen without the video if you’d prefer.  Hope you enjoy listening to it!

Wigmore Hall Debut!

Wigmore

On Tuesday afternoon this week I made my Wigmore Hall debut with my piece ‘Three After-Dinner Pieces’ performed by Peter Moore and Richard Uttley.  The concert was a great event and I will be lucky enough to share the video recording of the concert with you when it becomes available.  The concert was well attended and it was a pleasure to be able to be a part of it.

Interview at Planet Hugill!

PH1

Ahead of tomorrow’s premiere of ‘Three After-Dinner Pieces’ in Bristol, I spoke with Robert Hugill, and the resulting interview can be found here: http://www.planethugill.com/2017/09/electro-acoustic-music-trombones-cheese.html

It was lovely talking with Robert about the piece and I think the interview comes across very well!

Next Wednesday 27th September I have my new piece ‘Three After-Dinner Pieces’ premiering in Bristol in Colston Hall (1.05pm).  Here is an article about the piece from BBC Music Mag, and above it a picture of Peter Moore (photo credit: Kaupo Kikkas).  I am super excited about the piece and hope to be able to share it with you soon (tickets are available from: http://www.colstonhall.org/shows/petern-moore-richard-uttley).
